can i change dog food brands and will my dog have an adverse affect. also can i mix brands of dog food?

Our garage cats (2 Yrs old) were not vaccinated for calicivirus and one came down with tongue ulcers, now isolated and treating with meds by Dr. Such. Other siblings seem lethargic & we want to bring them in for vaccination. Is it okay?
